Bohumir Dvorsky
October 21st, 1902 - January 11th, 176
Bohumir Dvorsky was born on October 21st, 1902 in Paskov. An artist of post-impressionist and expressionist style, Dvorsky created his artwork with broad strokes and explosions of color. Dvorsky studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Prague and later lived in Ostrava. Dvorsky largely focused on expansive landscapes - sometimes featuring inhabitants of the Czech countryside.
Like Uprka, Dvorsky exhibited abroad. A contemporary to Uprka, his vibrant color style mirrors Uprka’s palette choices throughout his portfolio. Also like Uprka, Dvorsky was a proud member of the Association of Moravian Artists (SVUM).
